How do I get more traction with this website? Some days it feels more like a chore than anything else. There are days I get 3 visitors. After an initial run where about 100 people were showing up on some days. And from those 3, I’m definitely one of them. Maybe two.

It helps to have people actually read what I write. That shouldn’t be my main driver, but hey, here we are.

The last few days I’ve been feeling this more. The stress of having to write an article and publish it is taking its toll. Especially because it keeps me from doing the actual work of trying to launch my storybook business. In case you’re wondering, I’m annoyed by it.

My next step could be to just stop writing these AI experiments altogether. But I’m not ready to call it quits. There’s still something in me that doesn’t want to end this streak of 67 days today.

So let’s say I’ll continue to 90 days. At that point I give myself permission to call it a day and quit.

Just deciding this already gives me a feeling of relief. That’s an interesting observation in itself.

Key insight

Setting an end date for something you’re not sure you want to keep doing is different from quitting. The streak isn’t the point. The permission to stop is.
