I am currently about two weeks into using X to grow my personal brand. I am fighting my way through it by actually trying to be witty. My first target is having 1000 followers, but so far I have just amassed the grand total of 80 real followers in about two weeks.

As a person that is doing an AI experiment it made total sense to have an image generated that could be added to the experiment posts on X. However, being the contrarian I am, I went back to pen and paper instead.

I do enjoy doodling on paper, but have never been good at it. So this is the time to actually do the work to get better. This skill might help me understand myself better.

So today I continued working on the storybook business. It was the day I could finally get to a print proof PDF version of the storybook pages. And then get it actually printed as a test book.

Being able to get to read a story to my kid with his actual likeness is going to be fun. Curious to his reaction when he first sees himself. Also it will confirm whether I am on to something with the books. The laughs and recognition is what will help me continue. The books will sell themselves if every kid loves them.

The physical component is also present in the storybooks. Most people would opt for the software only, as this is the easier way to go. Hardware or physical products seem harder as they have more moving parts. I tend to pick the more difficult route. Is this because I am smart, or stupid?

Key Insight:

Sometimes the most interesting creative decision is the one that makes no sense. Case in point: the AI experiments guy reaching for a pen instead of a prompt.
